Editorial policy

InterLIR publishes three kinds of material: expert articles in the blog, industry news, and company updates. This page explains how they are produced and what we promise about them.

Sources first

Every news item starts from primary sources: announcements and policy documents of the Regional Internet Registries (RIPE NCC, ARIN, APNIC, LACNIC, AFRINIC), IANA and ICANN, RFCs, and established technical publications. We rank sources by trust: registries and standards bodies first, industry blogs and major technical press second, trade publications and brokers third. A story is not written unless it has at least one official source or several independent ones.

AI assistance

Drafts of news items and some articles are produced with the help of a large language model. The model is instructed to rely exclusively on the verified sources it is given, to state disagreements between sources explicitly, and never to add facts, figures or quotes that the sources do not contain. Every AI-assisted piece is marked as such and lists its sources.

By default, AI drafts are reviewed by an editor before publication. Some news categories may be set to publish automatically; in that case the piece still carries the AI label and its sources, and an editor can correct or withdraw it at any time.

Translations

Articles are written in English and translated into Russian, German, Spanish, Turkish and Arabic with the same model, under instructions to preserve every number, date and technical term exactly. If a translation cannot be produced reliably, the piece is published in fewer languages rather than badly.

Corrections

If you find an error, write to the address in the Legal notice. We correct the text and, where the change is material, note the correction at the end of the piece.

Independence

Editorial content does not promote specific listings on the marketplace and is not paid for by third parties. Company updates are clearly separated from news and articles.
